When going to display settings, I have a Third smaller screen and my mouse can leave the borders of my regular monitor into that 3rd display. If you are Windows 10 users and facing “ Generic PnP Monitor driver issue” on your PCs/Laptops, then you are in right place. But I'm not to keen on doing that.ĮDIT: I have completed a 'reinstall' (with keeping apps and files) with no differenceĮDIT 2: I have just noticed the WMR headset is recognized as a separate monitor. Only thing I have not tried is fresh reïnstall of windows. I have no clue what this means, but I decided to mention it. I do notice that after following these instructions, the entries in the 'Default_Monitor' tab do not have any device parameters generated anymore on reboot. I have also tried the solution posted in, But no success. The fact that it worked before and not showing the 1-5 error or USB 3.0 specific error makes + Monitor not showing up correctly in device manager makes me think the USB connection is not the problem here. I have tried every USB port on my device, even while removing any other USB device.

I have tried to apply the above solution to remove EVERYTHING and reinstall but no success.

I checked back if the recognition was not due to me messing with the drivers, but plugging it back in the HDMI port gave the same result as before: no popup in device manager. Which made the Headset recognized in the Device manager (aka Device manager refreshes on plugging in) but just as Joey it shows up as Generic PnP Monitor. I can confirm the HDMI port(s) (2 of them) work correctly because my 2 other monitors work and are recognized correctly.Īs suggested in the FAQ I then bought a HDMI 2.0 - DP adaptor.

I tried several iterations of the hololens drivers but none worked. But WMR and hololens were correctly recognized. Initially using the HDMI port, the monitor wouldn't show up in the device manager. then suddenly stopped working producing Error 1-4 again. Without doing any significant it started working on a few reboots and worked for a couple of days. I'm having the same/similar issues as u/joey_pancakes.įirst time plugging in the Odyssey+ headset I got the 1-4 error. I tried searching but didn't find anyone else with this issue. I wish the driver was available online somewhere so I could point to it.

according to other sites, in Device Manager, it should be listed as a "windows MR" device, but it's showing up as "generic pnp monitor." Every time I uninstall the device, then restart my computer, then plug the device back in, it automatically does "generic pnp" instead of letting the hardware install the driver. I've connected another monitor to the HDMI port and confirmed it does work. My GPU has 1 x DVI (regular monitor), 1 x HDMI (O+), 1 x display port (not used). The fact that O+ setup says it's connected despite no signal tells me it's a HDMI port issue. PC compatibility check for MR says everything is good to go, and O+ setup says it's connected (w/ latest firmware), but no other WMR software can find the hardware, I have the green blinking light, and nothing showing up in the headgear. Just got the Samsung O+ and I'm having a hell of a time getting it to work.
